“ Pretty legit Taiwanese/northern Chinese food in Thousand Oaks area. We came for the xiao long baos but were impressed by the noodles. Got the spicy beef noodles and sesame/peanut sauce noodles. Both decent. The XLB ended up being OK. I think they could have used fattier pork stuffing so the baos would be juicier when you bite into them. Service was friendly and food came fairly quickly. Would come back to try their steam dumplings next time. ”

“ Tasty find nearby my work office perfect for a Chinese craving on lunch break. My friends and I came in for a meal around 12pm and luckily had been sat immediately as they were maybe at about half capacity. Their menu features 2 parts, a small dim sum selection where you get to write in how many orders you want of the smaller bites ( dumplings, buns, etc ) and their plastic menu has images for their larger entrees. We had ordered family style with a combination of dim sum, noodles, and rice. Our selections made Their way to our table in waves starting with the spicy beef noodle soup and fried rice. The soup had good spicy/umami broth and plenty of noodles and bok choy. Their beef was tender and overall a fair portion. From everything we ordered I think the soup packed the strongest punch (flavor wise) followed by their sesame noodles. The portions were good but i think were weaker flavors than what i was expecting. Sadly this was the same experience with their pork soup dumplings. They had good chewy texture and good amount of pork filling but very little soup broth :( the flavor was good but nothing crazy. All things considered i think this restaurant is perfect for people dipping their toe in Chinese cuisine. The traditional flavors were subtly there and featured good ingredients. The staff was wonderful from top to bottom. Considering the area this restaurant is on the better side of the spectrum for Chinese cuisine in my opinion. The modern decor and furniture it's bright and appealing especially with the large windows that allow sun to brighten up their seating area. I'm happy i tried this restaurant it was pretty good overall and great for the community it generally serves. ”

“ Came here around noon on a Friday for lunch with a small group, total 4 of us. The decent sized parking lot was pretty packed but there were definitely spots open. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and we were sat immediately and provided a paper menu to order from. 2 friends in the group say dinner is much busier, so plan accordingly! The service throughout was quick, attentive, and friendly. The inside was bright and modern and there is a one stall bathroom. My boyfriend and I decided to get the braised beef shank in Szechuan noodle soup, noodles with minced pork in soy bean sauce, pork soup dumplings, and salted egg custard buns while the other couple got chicken fried rice, noodles in sesame sauce, and the same dumplings and buns. The food was ready quickly. First was the fried rice and noodle soup. The noodle soup was flavorful, with decent portions of everything. There were plenty of noodles, slices of thin beef, and a good amount of bok choy. The noodles with minced pork also was flavorful and had good textures going on. The soup dumplings were just okay to me. Not as umami as I am used to. I personally believe more flavorful ones are served at Yunnan restaurant in Oak Park. The salted egg buns were a good size and had a lot of filling. They weren't super creamy but still had good flavor. Overall, a decent Chinese spot in a place without many Chinese restaurants. If you are not as familiar with Chinese food, this is a good place to start. It's also a convenient location for lunch time and I think it's a good spot to take coworkers. If you like stronger authentic flavors, I would suggest Yunnan. ”

“ Social media, when used properly can be a great tool. While taking a mental break at work, I came across a post from a co-worker who was out to lunch at eLoong Dumplings. The pictures and video post quickly gave me FOMO. The food looked fresh, delicious, and of generous portions. The next day I found myself at eLoong Dumplings! Based on what I had seen from the posts, I wasn't going solo to this gem! I'm all about sharing experiences with others. Insert work-family into the mix. The three of us arrived hungry and expecting to share a few dishes. When you have 3 men eating amazingly fresh and delicious food, well, there isn't much "small talk" - actually none to be specific. The only sounds were the chewing, and slurping of the noodles. Every once-and-a-while, an occasional, "this is good" or "wow" or "i really like this" was uttered after a bite. We even ate all of the ginger and hot sauce condiments on the table. Nothing was safe from our appetites. What an awesome addition to the lunch rotation! The owner was super sweet and friendly. Service was great. As soon as a dish was empty, the server came by to pickup the dishes. Our Order: 2 Orders of the Baby Cucumber Salad in Szechuan Style. (tasted like Mexican "Pepinos" with a twist) 1 Order of the Shredded Pork Fried Rice 1 Order of the Vegetable Fried Noodles 1 Order of the Sautéed Broccoli w/ Garlic 1 Order of the Sautéed Baby Bok Choy 1 Order of the Chicken Dumplings (9 Pieces) 1 Ginger Condiment Container (no charge) 1 Hot Sauce Condiment Container (no charge) Total $84.00 plus tip came out to $105.00. “ The soup dumplings were amazing the chicken buns were great!! The hot and sour soup was delicious and the shrimp and pork dumplings were great.!! The bok Choy was perfectly cooked and the shrimp fried rice But the ending of our meal was awful!! Don't order the spare ribs dish the staff is so nice. ”

“ 100% will come back here! Food is delicious and tastes fresh. Every time felt healthy yet tasty. They have a sign that states food is made fresh and without msg and has veggie options. We loved the pork soup dumplings, wonton soup and the fried rice! Service was attentive despite a busy day. There was a mistake in the rice we ordered but they fixed it with no issue. Place is a small restaurant and was busy on a Sunday. It has a family, casual feel! For parents, there is no baby changing table which I hope can be placed in the future! ”

“ Very solid Chinese food. I appreciate that they have XLB, stir fried rice cakes, and sticky rice in lotus leaves. These dishes are nostalgic for me, and there aren't many (if any at all) Chinese restaurants in the area that offer them. Eloong does a good job with them. As DH said, "It's not Din Tai Fung, but it hits the spot." I'd concur. The restaurant is small and gets busy. You can leave your name and number, and they'll call when a table is ready. Service is quick and friendly. ”

“ Everything here is house-made, and you can taste the superior quality with your first bite. The atmosphere is casual, making it a great spot for small groups, though larger parties might want to call ahead. The dumplings are the real star here. I tried the chicken wontons in spicy sauce and the chicken & shrimp wontons in spicy sauce. The latter was slightly juicier, but both were excellent. The chicken dumplings had a great filling-to-wrapper ratio, making each bite satisfying. I also sampled the steamed spare ribs, which were extremely soft but a bit bland - definitely needed some extra sauce to elevate them. Service was prompt, but I was a little put off by one server who cleaned a table and swept the floor before running food to customers without washing their hands. Overall, eLoong Dumplings is the best spot for quality dumplings in the area, in my opinion. I'll definitely be back when the dumpling craving hits! ”
